Date: 1950s. Description: Folding cameras were so called due to their ability to fold down into a smaller, less delicate, size wheot in use. They extended a cloth or leather bellows kept out the light. These were the dominant cameras from the begining of the 20th century to the Second World War, although they continued to be produced until the 1960’s. This camera dates from the 1950’s and was made in England. In the inter-war period, Ensign Ross became the largest producer of quality photographic equipment in the UK. Place of Production: England.
