(reference: http://www.robertstech.com/vivitar.htm) It is made completely out of metal (including the 62mm filter threads), with the focus grip made out of a plastic material. The focusing is totally smooth and well-damped, pretty much as good as a manual-focus Nikkor. Aperture blades are nice and snappy, stopping down accurately, no oil whatsoever. The item is in EXC++ condition, optically clear with no trace of fungus, no scratches or blemishes on either front or rear elements, only some minor cosmetic wear and tear on the aperture ring and zoom barrel.
